Lynel Gardner was born in San Francisco but was raised by his great aunt and uncle in East Palo Alto and then in the Mountain View and Santa Clara areas. He details his childhood and adolescence, his family life, his heritage, and growing up to become an artist in Los Angeles. He shares about his experiences in performance art with the Hittite Empire and the plays he has written and performed.
