Bread and Butter Pudding
Ingredients:
12 slices white bread
Unsalted butter (enough to lightly butter each slice)
700ml milk
250ml heavy cream
70g white sugar (adjust to your taste)
1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)
Handful or 2 of chocolate chips or raisins
Serve with custard or ice cream
Method:
1) butter each slice of bread and cut into squares.
2) layer bread into baking dish with the chocolate chips or raisins.
3) crack 3 eggs into a jug and whisk. Set aside.
4) to a pot add the milk cream and sugar and gently heat. Once heated slowly pour into eggs and whisk together as you pour.
5) pour milk mixture over the bread coating all of the bread.
6) bake in preheated oven 170c for 25 mins until golden brown.
7) serve and enjoy 😊
