I stayed at The Premier Inn hotel in Durham city centre in July, 2021. I stayed for four nights on a room only basis for the bargain price of £35 per night.

The hotel is fairly new and is in the city centre near the Walkergate hospitality and entertainment zone next to the River Wear. Check-in was quick and easy, luckily I was allowed into my room early. My room (116) was an accessible room and was large with plenty of space and a lower than usual bed. The bathroom was completely step-free with a large open shower in a wet room style.

The room was very comfortable with both air-conditioning and a desk fan. Tea and coffee were provided, but due to Covid, rooms were only serviced upon request.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely stay here again in future.
