2013 was full of love, and of course, lots of heartbreak. So which celebrity breakups were the most shocking this year?

Prepare yourselves, people. This is a sad countdown. It's time to say goodbye to the couples we once shipped.  

8) Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez / Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart (TIE)
They're not so shocking since both couples split up in 2012, but come on. They were torturing each other and their fans the entire year with rumors of reconciliations and late night hang outs. It seems like both are pretty done-zo now, but who knows what 2014 will bring...RIP Jelena and Robsten.

7) Liam Payne & Danielle Peazer
The couple also split briefly in 2012 but had seemed to be going strong when they adopted a dog together. But shortly after, they called it quits for real. What I really want to know is -- How is the puppy doing??

6) Ariana Grande & Jai Brooks
Things went from totally adorable to kind of nasty between Ariana and Janoskians' Jai. After a year of dating, makeup videos and sloth memes, the two broke things off this summer, but then Jai publicly accused Ariana of cheating on him with her now-boyfriend Nathan Sykes.

5) Ryan Seacrest & Julianne Hough
Seriously, these two couldn't have been cast better as love interests in a movie. I mean, look at those smiles.

4) Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr
This one seriously broke my heart. They always seemed so happy together! Not to mention the most beautiful couple ever. Fortunately it seems like an amicable split, so hopefully it won't affect them as parents.

3) Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth
I mean, okay, maybe you saw this one coming a mile away, but... they were engaged! We can't say for sure what happened, but we do know that Miley came in like a wrecking ball. Possibly naked.

2) Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder
Um, I'm still not over this one. It's ELENA AND DAMON! Their love is eternal!

1) Jonas Brothers
Okay, okay I know it's a little different kind of "breakup" but I'm still calling this the most shocking breakup of 2013. I mean, guys. THEY'RE BROTHERS! How do brothers break up? We'll never forget the good times, Jo Bros.
