Описание: We take a ride on one of the more scenic trains on the Amtrak system. We board the train at Plattsburgh, New York and capture both RFW and window view scenes of the ride to Albany-Rensselaer. The scenery of Lake Champlain in the surrounding mountains is outstanding and we punctuate the side window views with considerable rear view shots. You will see us meet train #69 and train #291 along the way. in some places the right of way is literally on the edge of the lake. Speed increases as we move further down the line. We will finish the video with a complete RFW of the ride from Schenectady to Albany-Rensselaer on upgraded 110mph track. The young Conductor on this run was one of the best. This was one of the most relaxing train rides that I’ve taken in my 70 years on this earth.(note. At Saratoga Springs, it is still CPKC ownership south of there until the train switches to the Empire Corridor at Schenectady. The NS has rights on CPKC from Schenectady to Saratoga Springs. Also, the area that I identified as Ticonderoga Junction north of Ticonderoga is not so. The junction was at another location nearby. Also what I didn’t know is that it’s only called CPKC as a marketing name, but it’s still referred to as the Delaware and Hudson. The old dies hard.)
