Recording soundscapes with the SoundDevices MixPre-3 and Audio-Technica BP4025 X/Y Stereo Field Microphone with Rode Blimp II.
The AT BP4025 has a lovely rich detailed wide stereo sound with very low self noise. So it's a great mic for subtle nature recordings as well as excellent for recording soundscapes out in the field. Here's it's coupled with the SoundDevices MixPre-3 which is a top of the range digital field recorder / mixer with probably the best 'Kashmir' pre-amps available at this price point as well as a proper SD analogue limiter.
