The WINTER Pattern Is Becoming VERY Unstable

Описание: Another cold and snowy week is on tap for much of the eastern US, while the west remains warm, under the influence of ridging. We'll see record lows continue for Florida, along with mostly dry conditions across the peninsula. A weak wave of low pressure will work across the southern and central US and bring light rain through the Tennessee Valley, Southeast, and lower mid-Atlantic. Rain could change to snow across parts of the mid-Atlantic and upper Southeast by midweek, but not a lot of accumulation is expected. The Polar Vortex pays a visit to the Northeast this weekend, but temperatures will moderate thereafter. Also, a big, complex sunspot launched a massive solar flare last night.
