Elie Saab is a self-taught fashion talent. He was born and raised in Beirut Lebanon.

He started designing at the tender age of 9 by designing and making clothes for his sisters and selling clothes within his neighborhood.

At the age of 18 Elie held his first fashion show and opened his first Atelier.

His business grew rapidly across Lebanon and The Middle East and he soon gained global success.

In 2006 during the large political uproar in Lebanon, Elie Saab became the first Arab to be accepted in to the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, the industry’s governing body (King, S 2011).

Elie Saab currently releases a Ready to wear collection, a Haute Couture collection and a bridal diffusion line that is marketed through Spanish bridal-wear giant Pronovias.
