5 CHRISTMAS MARKETS in 5 DAYS | A week of Denver, Colorado Holiday Events

Описание: This week, our travels brought us into Denver for the holiday season, where we slowed things down, stayed with family, and explored some of the city’s best Christmas markets and festive winter events. Even when we’re not actively living out of the van, these stops are still a big part of our van life and RV travel journey, especially when it comes to planning seasonal routes and city stays.

We kicked things off with a quick stop at Fiction Beer Company, easing into the evening before heading to Blossoms of Light at the Denver Botanic Gardens, one of Denver’s most iconic holiday traditions. Walking through the illuminated gardens, surrounded by millions of lights, instantly set the tone for the week.

From there, we checked out the Cherry Creek Holiday Market in Cherry Creek North, wandering vendor stalls and browsing gifts from local makers. We followed that up with a visit to the Denver Christkindl Market, a classic European-style Christmas market downtown filled with twinkling lights, handcrafted goods, and festive food and drinks at the University of Colorado at Denver Auraria Campus.

We also spent time at the Denver Holiday Bazaar, which brought together local vendors, food, music, and holiday shopping all under one roof. To wrap things up, we headed into the mountains for the Georgetown Loop Railroad Santa Trains, riding the historic train through snowy scenery and fully leaning into the holiday spirit. This was an ABSOLUTE MUST!

This episode highlights a different side of van life travel — taking breaks, staying with family, and still building meaningful experiences into the journey. Whether you’re traveling full time, RVing seasonally, or planning a winter trip through Colorado, these Denver holiday events are well worth adding to your route.

Hi!! We're Jamie and Dre, an adventure-loving couple originally from Southern California who’ve been together for over 15 years. After growing up in the same area, we both landed in Colorado for college (DU and CU Denver!) and have called it home for the last 12 years. In 2019, we sold everything to travel the world an work remote full-time… but then the pandemic hit and those plans took a detour. So we bought a van, hit the road, and spent the next few years living out of our tiny home on wheels.

By 2023, we bought a house and started mixing remote work with international travel, always wishing we had started a YouTube channel back when we first moved into the van. Life got busy, but here we are now, finally sharing the adventures we’ve been chasing all along! We’re snowboarders, travelers, trail runners, mountain bikers, hunters, explorers...basically any excuse to get outside, we’re in.

We’re currently back in the van for a bit and gearing up for some huge trips: the Canadian Powder Highway, driving our van all the way to Alaska, snowboarding in Chile, and European Christmas markets in 2026. We’re not totally sure where this road leads, but we’re excited to take you with us! :)
