This is an enormously powerful breathing exercise that will improve your lung capacity, your breathing in general and will likely have a profound impact on your posture if executed well.
Your posture is largely determined by the way your feet interact with the ground but also the way you breathe. For example, if you habitually breath into the belly, that can roll the pelvis forward into anterior pelvic tilt which can lead to hip impingement, tight hamstrings, tight calves and compressed lumbar & cervical vertebrae.
How to Apply it:
2 Sets of 5 Breaths, Daily until you feel MUCH better.
Objective: Use the breath to reset your default posture to a more neutral position, improved core control and lung capacity.
Key Cues:
Long Spine, expand and lift between the shoulder blades, keep the hips still.
Exhale: Open mouth sigh
Inhale: Slow through the nose, tongue on the roof of the mouth
