This video is dedicated to all good teachers that are ignored or let go. I could go all day on how America's education system is ruined, but this isn't the right place.
I really needed to make this--it's catharsis for what my education's been like for the past seven years. After years of anger and silence, I, like Melinda, have found my voice. Yes, it's a cliche to say that, but it's true.
I love this movie, it's a gem among crappy T.V. films.
The teacher-student relationship between Mr. Freidman and Melinda always inspired me in the book and the movie.
I highly recommend reading/viewing the book/movie.
