🪘 My Visit to Tim Walz's Lutheran Church (ELCA) – UNBIASED Reaction

Описание: We're just weeks away from casting votes in the U.S. Presidential Election between Donald Trump (with JD Vance) and Kamala Harris (with Tim Walz). There's no shortage of critical issues for the candidates - whether it's the economy, wars, abortion, the border, or a multitude of other concerns.

On this channel, our weird thing is exploring churches. So, I've been curious. How does church shape the lives of these candidates?

Last weekend, I drove over to Pilgrim Lutheran Church (ELCA) in St. Paul, Minnesota. According to media sources, this is the church home of Tim Walz, the current Governor of Minnesota and Democratic VP pick for Kamala Harris.

While looking online, Walz grew up Catholic in Nebraska. After he married, he converted to what he refers to himself as a "Minnesota Lutheran". 20% of the Minnesota population is Lutheran (according to Pew Research), making it one of the most - Lutheran states in the U.S., thanks to a wave of Scandinavian Lutherans who settled in the region in the 19th century.

In the video, I explore how different the church is compared to others - such as singing bowls, a land acknowledgment, a sermon on equality, and wild send-off hymn featuring egg beaters and congas.

Next week, we'll took a look at the Republican ticket by exploring the childhood church of Donald Trump in the Queens borough of New York City. You won't want to miss it.
