Day 5 of 5 of 2025 canoe trip/paddle of all of the Black River in Southeastern North Carolina.
Day 5 = 16.4 miles, 82.9 miles total
Campsite: Peachtree Landing, GPS: 34.35897, -78.058617
Take-out: Dram Tree Park, Wilmington, 34.227517, -77.950549
Paddle highlights:
Two (2) ALLIGATORS
Bummer - Going for a swim. Was trying to get out to stretch legs but boots sank in the muck and over I went.
A cypress tree root system at low tide water levels
Paddle by the USS North Carolina
Paddle by the Wilmington waterfront.
Rushing water coming into the take-out at Dram Park Boat Ramp
