“I thought hospices were places where people go to die. As my disease started progressing, that’s where St Catherine’s really came in… I started to learn that St Catherine’s – and hospices in general – weren’t all about the end.
I go to exercise classes at the hospice, which are fantastic, and I’m soon to start guided meditation and relaxation classes as well. It’s those sorts of things which are, if I’m honest, just enhancing my life, whichever way this journey is going to go, helping make the most of what time is left.
St Catherine’s will play an incredibly important role there, for me and my family as we do start approaching potentially the end of life.” – Neil, who has been supported by our hospice since last year 🧡
