Hello and welcome back to another #tutorialtuesday

I am so excited to have you all back in the studio for this weeks #tutorialtuesday I am calling it “Splashy Shores”. I found the photo while scrolling around on online. The original photo was taken at Aliso Beach near Laguna I believe. I did not take the photo search colour_blynd on instagram and you can find their channel.

What I wanted to show you today, is how I take my inspiration from images I find online and turn them in to a peaceful painting on canvas. I use all the Bob Ross Paints and brushes to make this happen, with the addition of my Magic Touches Sable Brushes.

By capturing some of the key elements, you can paint any scene in a single sitting. Over time you will be able to add more elements to create depth and details, all it takes is a little practice. I do hope you join me and give this painting a try!Let’s talk about some of the details now:

PALLET :
Titanium White
Yellow Ochre
Indian Yellow
Bright Red
Alizarin Crimson
Phthalo Green
Phthalo Blue
Blue Mix - 1 parts Prussian Blue 1/3 part Midnight Black
Brown Mix - 1 part Dark Sienna 1/3 part Bright Red
Van Dyke Brown
Midnight Black

You will want to use some smaller soft brushes if you have them I really like these sable brushes - not sponsored or anything - I just like them : Magic Sable Brushes. The rest of the tools should be pretty standard, a couple 2” brushes, a couple 1”, script liner, fan, and pallet knife.
