Speaking at the Firstpost Ideas Pod at the Raisina Dialogue 2025, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that the country aims to end the war this year and remains united in achieving this strategic goal. He noted that Ukraine has received additional inputs and has accelerated its peace efforts. The country also supports the US proposal for a temporary ceasefire and is now awaiting Russia’s response for an unconditional ceasefire.

In conversation with Firstpost’s Managing Editor, Palki Sharma, Sybiha said, "We are suffering from Russian aggression. Ukraine has managed to liberate 50% of occupied territory. We are interested in achieving lasting peace.”

He also discussed recent high-level meetings hosted by Gulf nations and other key players, such as Turkey, emphasising the role of middle powers in supporting peace efforts. "This war is about the restoration of world order. We need support of international partners. We need to avoid and prevent the Russian aggression in other geographies. Russia didn’t achieve any goals. We have the strongest army in Europe. We prevail despite Russia’s nuclear weapons. We are not alone, we have partners and allies," he said.
