#IsThisOk? was developed after extensive consultation with people who have lived experience of coercive control and gender-based violence, a wide range of people in organisations who provide support services to victims of coercive and controlling behaviour, including voluntary and community organisations, police and criminal justice partners and academic partners.
Almost 300 cases of coercive and controlling behaviours are reported to Greater Manchester Police each month, with actual figures likely to be much higher. There is no place for coercive control and abusive behaviour in any relationship. The fear, humiliation and isolation caused by coercive and controlling behaviour devastates too many people’s lives and sadly that includes people in Greater Manchester.
