Inside the Bath Avenue Crew: Paul Gulino's Life and Legacy in the Bonanno Family
In this video, we explore the life of Paul "Pauly G" Gulino, also known as Pauly Brass, the founder of the Bath Avenue Crew. Born in 1969 in Brooklyn, Pauly G established the Bath Avenue Crew in the mid-1980s, which became a mob farm team for the Bonanno crime family under the guidance of Bonanno soldier Joe Benanti. The crew hung out at Nick's Candy Store on Bay 16th and Bath Avenue, next to the Pigeon Social Club. Starting with washing gangsters' cars and running errands, they gradually escalated to robbing, stealing, collecting debts, and dope for the Bonannos. Each of the original seven members of the Bath Avenue Crew got a tattoo of the number 1 through 7, with Pauly G being number 1. Pauly G made his bones on September 17, 1991, by rubbing out local junkie Vincent Bickelman, who had robbed the house of Anthony Spero’s daughter. In 1993, tensions rose between the Bath Avenue Crew and the 20th Avenue Crew, a Colombo family farm team. A heated confrontation with Anthony Spero led to Pauly G's downfall. On July 25, 1993, Paul Gulino was taken out in his parents' house by Joey Calco and Tommy Reynolds. Pauly Brass was only 24 years old. Join us as we delve into the life and tragic end of Paul "Pauly G" Gulino.
