Elagabalus - The Most Bizarre Roman Emperor?

Описание: Elagabalus, Heliogabalus, Varius Antonius - he was a boy Emperor of Rome with many names. He also would shock most of the Roman aristocracy with his unusual ways, and worship of the sun God a- also called Elagabalus/Heliogabalus.

From making his God be above Jupiter, to carrying on with the charioteers - he offended the sensibilities of many of the rich and powerful. The stories told about him would make Nero blush and Caligula green with envy.

However it is likely that these stories on the life and times of Elagabalus simply aren't true, which is a shame. We look at why they aren't likely to be true, and then enjoy the stories anyway...because why let proper historians spoil the fun?
