This song pays tribute to African American heroes of the past on whose shoulders we stand!

V2: Martin Luther King, he had a dream, that we could live in harmony. In his fight for civil rights, he paved the way for you and me. So if I try I can be, whatever I set my mind to be. And so I'm grateful. I'm grateful to you.

V3: November 4, 2008, Barack Obama did something great. He gave us hope, he fought for change, became the president of the USA, so if I try I can be, whatever I set my mind to be. And so I'm grateful. I'm grateful to you.
