This wasn’t the hike I planned—but it was everything I love about being out there. 🌿
I set out to see Mt Hardy Falls up close and summit Mt Hardy, but instead got caught in a thunderstorm, drenched to the bone, and only spotted the waterfall from way off in the distance.
Still… I had an absolute blast. This trail off the West Fork Pigeon River in Pisgah National Forest was stunning, even in the rain.
