Hi everyone,
Welcome back to Skull n Bone kayak fishing UK. It was another beautiful day today with moderately light winds and another chance to get out chasing Smuts. What I didn't expect today was to have another red letter day catching my very first ever Thornback ray on rod and line. I've handled them before in my trawling days but to get a fish of this calibre on the kayak was a whole other level of excitement. It put up a great fight taking me down to the bottom again and making several line stripping runs. When I finally landed it I was actually stunned to see such a beautiful fish on my lap. Tomorrow it's my dinner too after my good friend has gutted, winged and skinned it for his share.
Life is good today my friends. I hope yours is too.
