Smoke was seen rising from the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone after authorities said debris from an intercepted drone landed near the facility.
Officials in the United Arab Emirates reported no casualties. A fire that broke out at the oil terminal was later extinguished, and the site has since reopened.
The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions, with recent retaliatory strikes reported across Gulf oil facilities. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards also announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route.
