The Territory Hat

The Territory offers the widest brim within the Akubra range and was designed to protect cattle ranchers from the intense heat of the Northern Territory, with its vast stretches of hot dry desert. The brim measures 102mm and offers the ultimate in sun protection, shielding the whole face and neck. Also giving excellent all-round protection from the rain, this is the perfect hat for anyone who wants to keep the weather at arm’s length.

As with all Akubra hats, the Territory is hand-crafted in Australia and takes six weeks to make, using traditional, old-school processes which have changed little in 140 years. Made from 100% rabbit felt fur, all Akubra hats are water resistant and offer the ultimate in sun protection.

Having two large eyelet holes for ventilation on each side of the crown, the Territory can be comfortably worn all day – the inner is unlined with a soft leather sweatband. The brim is a crisp cut edge and the hat band has an attractive embossed pattern and iconic Akubra brass fittings.
