I love this song. The lyrics are a bit somber with a couple walking away from a relationship after trying to make it work, but realizing the best thing to do is to walk away. It doesn't sound like a 90s country song at all, and this acoustic performance is outstanding. According to Hal himself, he and Gary Nicholson wrote the song a month before Hal's appearance on this special episode of VH1's Country Countdown, which would have been sometime in August 1993.
