Today, I play a 4X classic: Sid Meier's Civilization IV ("Civ 4").
This video, my Workers take a page from the British, and begin clearing forests on the Byzantine continent- which will provide timber for ships (which I will keep), to offset the production effort in settling the continent in the first place.
