A simple video clip compilation of a RWYB meeting at York raceway in 1992 with my then Super Gas car "Coco Connection", a 1968 462cu Chevy Camaro SS - SG111
We were testing a new Nitrous oxide kit which had been fitted and we were dialling in to get to as close to a repeatable 9.90 sec run by adding about 100bhp of NOS to the 650 BHP the tuned big block chevy was making.
During one of the runs the tarmac sealing strip between the concrete and the launch area stuck to the rear tyre. Luckily it was spotted by Trevor Langfield (Highpower Systems) in the white shirt, who was guiding me on the setup of his Nitrous kit. You can see him run in to stop me and pull of the great lump of tar stick to the rear tyre after the burn out.
Near the end were the long burn is you can just see the TOP GEAR film crew filming on the ground near the start lights. They were there to film Jeremy Clarkson race a Ford pickup against the rest of us, needless to say he was thrashed... completely. But I did get on to TOP GEAR with the burn out, I have that some where.
