Welcome back to another comic book review here on Toned In Entertainment. Today we're jumping back into the world of Boar Bane. Now if you missed my review for Issue 1 and Issue 2 I gave them high praise by scoring them a 9 out of 10 and after reading those issues it left me very excited for the next issue.
Now just to be transparent this is a review copy that I was given by the creators but in no way is this going to affect my review score for Boar-Bane Issue 3 Abominations.

While the main story of Boar-Bane takes places in 2035, writer Justin B. Acosta is going to take us on a fired trip starting back in 2027 and give us some insight as to just how the War Pigs came to be and that when everything from vaccines to the formation of local militias couldn't stop the slaughtering of humans in massive numbers, scientists came up with the idea of turning man's best friend into the perfect soldier.

Now in addition to us learning how the pigs and dogs came to be what they are now we'll also find out just how back in the year 2029 that Jack earned the name Boar-Bane.

Now that'll do it for the backstory for this issue as the rest will go down in present day with Dan and Oscar on the hunt for a well hidden place called Burrow's Cave.

But in their quest they will come across an unlikely ally who warns them that the king of the boars, Daeodon is not only far superior than your average mutated bacon but that he has let's just say BIG PLANS for his army.

Back in the last issue we learned about a dog named Tango and here here Jack is on a mission to rescue his pooch in peril and will have to deal with some shady individuals and have a few tricks up his sleeve in order to have a chance to rescue Tango,

However a reunion might not be a warm and fuzzy one. But with the ambushes by the boars being something of gigantic proportions, all will have to put their differences aside or risk receiving a knockout Blow once and for all.

Now when I said gigantic proportion I wasn't kidding as you can see in this illustration from Rienque LeVerite of just how massive the king, Daeodon is

Now as we head into the conclusion of issue 3 the humans are all geared up to make pork chops out of their adversaries. But Daeodon has come up with a countermeasure that will prove he's smarter than your average piggy. And what might be bad news for us humans is that it was believed by scientists that harming humans isn't in their DNA might not be so true.

On a scale of 1-10 I'm going to give Issue 3 of Boar_Bane once again a 9 out of 10.

The creators in both the writing and the art pull us right back into this gritty world, where it's becoming more apparent with each issue that this is a world of survival for the fittest.
I also really love the fact that Boar-Bane is just not some generic monster Vs Man story as these characters not only feel real but they'll have to use more than brawn to overcome the obstacles that they are faced with.

Now I really want to give some extra praise to artist Rienque LeVerite because his work is absolutely fantastic and fits this world perfectly. And if I was to give it a grade I would give it an A+ but then again I am reminded by Michael Scott that there's an A++
