Описание: Over the course of almost four decades, Jeffrey Lendrum became the most infamous egg thief on the planet. He traveled all over the world on the hunt for eggs, from the African savanna to the Arctic Circle, dangling from helicopters, scaling cliffs and attempting to evade authorities. He strapped the eggs to his body and trafficked them halfway around the world, risking everything for this fragile cargo.

But why? Because, to the right buyer, some of these eggs are worth tens of thousands of dollars. Falconry has become big business in the Middle East, where the ultra-wealthy are willing to pay extraordinary sums for the fastest, rarest birds. To some, wild birds and their genetic diversity are a good investment.

This is the true story of Jeff’s unlikely journey from bird-loving volunteer to the man newspapers nicknamed the “Pablo Escobar of eggs.”
