Today we will look at the Konigsweiser Gunter Design (KGD) logging/skidding winch. There are other brands (e.g. Wallenstein, Farmi, Uniforest) that are probably easier to come by in the United States, but there are dealers in the US. Either way, this overview is also a good introduction to logging winches and may help you think about what you need for your situation.
