Today we pray the Holy Rosary for Sunday, February 22, 2026, as we reflect on the Feast of the Chair of Saint Peter the Apostle, a beautiful reminder that Jesus built His Church on the rock of Peter’s faith and continues to shepherd His people through apostolic succession.

In Matthew 16:15, Jesus asks the Twelve, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter, inspired by the Father, proclaims Jesus as the Son of the living God. Jesus then singles Peter out and promises that the gates of the netherworld will not prevail against His Church (Matthew 16:17–18).

After the Resurrection, Jesus confirms Peter’s mission and entrusts him with pastoral care for the whole flock: “Feed my lambs… Feed my sheep” (John 21:15–17). This feast invites us to return to the faith handed on, the Gospel proclaimed, and the unity of the Church across nations and generations.

Prayer intentions for today’s Rosary:
