On March 27, 2023, Athena Infonomics, Itad, and others hosted and facilitated "Promoting South-South Cooperation in Operationalising Equitable AI: Facilitating Knowledge Exchange Between Mexico and India," a virtual knowledge-sharing event between India and Mexico in an effort to understand and learn from the conditions, challenges, and opportunities for operationalising artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies for governance and service delivery in an equitable and inclusive manner. This session, hosted as part of USAID’s Equitable AI Challenge, sought to examine approaches and generate new technical knowledge, lessons learned, and tested solutions in addressing gender bias in AI tools.
