Описание: On December 25, 1956, following an ineffective grenade attack on a café, Roger Bernard and his group massacred 18 identified Algerians in El-Eulma, as part of the "Red Hand" reprisals. The victims, including the Aliane brothers aged 16, were summarily executed in their workshops and in the city streets. Roger Bernard was in turn killed on January 2, 1957, in front of his home. A commemorative plaque was installed on Abdelaziz Khaled street in tribute to these martyrs of the Algerian war of independence.
