DND Chief: All sectors are vulnerable in China-linked espionage

The involvement of Filipinos in alleged China-linked espionage activities in the Philippines is “worrisome,” with all sectors considered vulnerable, according to National Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr.
The DND chief is hopeful that all proposed anti-espionage laws will be consolidated and enacted at the soonest possible time to hold those involved accountable.
Teodoro added in a chance interview with reporters yesterday that such operations are multi-purpose, including influence through united front work.
The Chinese Embassy in Manila has previously denied all allegations of espionage against China, while the three Filipinos apprehended are now under military control. | via Patrick de Jesus
