Farhana Akram, a resident of Lahore, Pakistan, traveled to Saudi Arabia with her four family members on December 23. During the trip, an international drug trafficking gang swapped Akram's luggage tag with the help of staff at Allama Iqbal International Airport. As a result, she and her family were detained in Saudi Arabia. The Anti-Narcotics Force of Pakistan provided evidence to Saudi authorities, proving that they had been framed by the drug traffickers. Pakistani authorities later detained a porter after reviewing the airport's footage, which led to the arrest of nine gang members, including the ringleader. Akram and her family were subsequently released from a Saudi prison.
