Описание: The Trout Trust was born out of necessity. Various groups are addressing the issues facing Alberta's waterways, and The Trout Trust will collaborate with these groups to achieve shared goals. Its initial focus is on the health of the Bow River trout populations and, more specifically, the problem of fish entrainment in irrigation canals throughout Alberta, as well as the lack of transparency from the provincial and federal governments regarding this issue. The Trout Trust is researching the history of canals and irrigation in Alberta, along with the effects and potential solutions to this problem both in Alberta and elsewhere, hoping to raise public awareness and encourage a resolution from the provincial government or alternative sources. In this video, I chat with two of the founding members of this group.
