When you watch Naruto the last, there’s a scene where you see the hanabi rescue team each caught in a genjutsu trap that Toneri planted that has the members each stuck in a genjutsu. As we saw, this genjutsu basically helped Naruto discover his feelings for Hinata, but have you ever wondered why Sakura was the one who broke out of the genjutsu first and not Naruto, a guy who is a perfect jinchuuriki and had a bijuu inside of him to break out of it? Well, we learn in the official movie novelization the reason is because when the genjutsu happened, Sakura fell for it just like everyone else, but what made her break out of it was Sasuke. In the genjutsu, Sasuke is being overly affectionate to her and talking about returning from his redemption journey to live with Sakura. This makes Sakura realize it’s a genjutsu because she knows that Sasuke is acting out of character and would never give up his redemption journey and return to her until it was done. With tears in her eyes, she breaks the genjutsu and promptly begins snapping out the other members of her team out the genjutsu
