www.waysidechristianmission.org - Watch a recent WDRB newscast showing how a St. Xavier high school student started a backpack program for our homeless to honor his mother. Then he handed them out at Wayside on Thanksgiving.
Wayside provides emergency shelter and homeless lodging for 500-600 men, women, and families each night. We serve nearly 2000 meals each day to Louisville’s hungry and homeless. Most of these meals are provided in the Mission’s shelter and at Hotel Louisville every day. Our kitchens operate from morning until night daily. Most of our food is donated. We also feed people on the streets and in the camps.
God bless all those who donate food, money or their time as volunteers to help feed the homeless of our community.
Providing Sober Living Education for people with addictions. Wayside Christian Mission offers a residential, abstinence-based Sober Living Program. As a donor-supported mission, we do not charge for our services. Women and men in our program attend recovery classes five days a week, engage in forty-hour per week work therapy assignments, and participate in regularly scheduled group community meetings. Other classes and faith-based meetings are also available for our clients’ personal growth, understanding, and edification.
If you have a substance abuse issue, please phone 502-345-9030 or email: [email protected]. Often, email is faster. Either way, your request will be answered.
Providing Lasting Changes for our neighbors in need. Be Part of the Mission. Support. Volunteer. Donate.
