Welcome back to our Dark Souls III journey.

After completing the Undead Settlement, in Episode 6, we venture into the Road of Sacrifices, a murky transit point for those destined for the Cathedral or the Abyss. This area is incredibly dense with legendary loot and essential NPCs. We explore every corner to find fan-favorite items like the Grass Crest Shield for stamina recovery, the powerful Exile Greatsword, and the Sellsword Twinblades.

Along the way, we encounter key figures in the saga: the noble Anri of Astora and Horace, who grant us the Blue Sentinels covenant, the mysterious Sirris of the Sunless Realms, and the scholar Orbeck of Vinheim, who will teach us the secrets of Sorcery.

After navigating the marshes and defeating the invader Yellowfinger Heysel, we face the Crystal Sage. Following our victory, we transpose the boss soul into the Crystal Sage Rapier, a must-have weapon for increasing item discovery. We also progress the quests of Irina and Cornyx by delivering their respective divine and pyromancy tomes.

Lore & Connections:
Road of Sacrifices: This path was used to transport "sacrifices" to the Cathedral of the Deep to feed Aldrich. The presence of Corvians (crow-people) is a strong link to the Painted World of Ariamis from DS1.

Anri of Astora: A knight from a fallen land, much like Oscar or Solaire. Their journey mirrors ours, but with a tragic destiny linked to the "Lord of Hollows."

Orbeck of Vinheim: Represents the Dragon School of Sorcery, a famous institution we’ve heard of since the first game.

Grass Crest Shield: A direct return from DS1, still maintaining its legendary status as the best passive stamina-regen tool.
