I've recently got Tame Impala's Orchid, a creative little synth with an interesting chord functionality and a rich sound engine. I see it as some sort of new version of an old Casiotone — wonderful lofi sound, portable, with the advantage that you can do a lot of things to edit and shape the sound. In this video I'm just playing it against a simple house beat. The bass comes from Dreadbox Hades and the drums and sequencing from Ableton Live's Push 3 — a portable setup that would fit into a backpack.
