How to Play Brainvita: A Step-by-Step Guide for Kids

What You Need to Play Brainvita
A Brainvita board (it has holes arranged in a cross shape).
32 pegs or marbles (one hole in the center is left empty at the start).
Step 1: Set Up the Board
Place a peg (marble) in every hole on the board except the center hole. The center hole should be empty.
Make sure the board is placed on a flat surface so the pegs don’t roll away.
Step 2: Understand the Rules
Jumping Over Pegs: You can move a peg by jumping over another peg that’s right next to it, either horizontally or vertically (not diagonally).
Landing in an Empty Hole: After jumping over a peg, you must land in an empty hole.
Remove the Jumped Peg: Once you’ve made a jump, remove the peg you jumped over from the board.
Keep Going: Continue jumping and removing pegs until no more moves are possible.

Brainvita Rules:- The board consists of holes(positions) which can hold marbles. All positions, except one, have marbles placed in them at the start of the game. A valid move for a marble is moving it from its position to an empty position(which is two positions away, horizontally or vertically) by jumping over a non-empty position. The marble in the ‘jumped’ position is removed from the board. The game ends when there is no valid move possible.

Step 3: Start Playing
Look for a peg that can jump over another peg. For example, if there’s a peg in the hole next to it and an empty hole on the other side, you can make a move.
Move the peg by jumping over the adjacent peg and landing in the empty hole.
Remove the peg you jumped over from the board.
Repeat this process, looking for new jumps after every move.
Step 4: Plan Your Moves
Try to think ahead! Plan your moves so you don’t get stuck with too many pegs at the end.
Focus on clearing pegs from the edges first, as they can limit your options later in the game.
Step 5: Aim for the Goal
The game ends when no more jumps are possible.
If you’ve done well, you’ll have only one peg left, and it should be in the center of the board. That’s the perfect win!
