👉🏽 National Electrical Safety Month! ⚡ This May, we at AP Safety Training are focusing on a critical question: If someone received an electrical shock, would you or your team know how to safely help them?
Seconds count in an electrical emergency, and knowing the correct procedure to release someone from electrical contact can save a life AND prevent you from becoming a second victim.
In this video clip, from our "Electrical Contact Release Training" program, you'll learn why you should NEVER touch a victim still in contact with a live electrical source and more:
👉🏽 The first and most important step: Safely cutting the power.
👉🏽 How to use non-conductive materials to separate a victim if the power can't be immediately shut off.
👉🏽 The vital importance of calling emergency services immediately.
👉🏽 When and how to administer First Aid/CPR (if trained) once the victim is clear.
Want to equip your workforce with these critical skills?
