Following a terrorist attack on an Indian Air Force convoy in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, security personnel initiated a search operation on Sunday morning. At least one soldier was killed and five others were injured in the attack. Security forces, including the Indian Air Force, engaged in a gunfight with the terrorists, resulting in casualties on both sides. The injured personnel were promptly evacuated to a military hospital for treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the area and intensified efforts to track down the terrorists. Further operations are underway to maintain peace and security in the region.
