One way to get started with beekeeping is to install a nuc bee colony. A nuc colony is half the size of a full beehive.
Instead of 10 frames in the box, you nuc colony will hold 5 frames. You will also have a queen, workers, brood and honey. Nucs are more expensive but they offer a headstart over package bees.
In this video, I show one simple way of installing a nuc hive into a standard 10 frame beehive.
