National president of biker club arrested at hospital — Nomads 🏍

The Nomads Motorcycle Club isn’t well known outside of its home in Australia. It hasn’t spread internationally, like other clubs have. But at home, they sure make a lot of racket. The Mob Reporter here, with news of another arrest by Australian police, in their crackdown on outlaw biker clubs — this time bagging a national president.
The Nomads MC have been involved in a lot of feuds — both with outside groups and within their own membership. They attract a lot of attention, which has led to several high-profile raids on the Nomads clubhouses and arrests of its members in recent years. This week, another has been added to the list.
A police task force arrested the national president of the club on August 19, 2020, police said. Michael Clark was arrested in the parking garage of Canberra Hospital, where his son had just been born, court heard. He is charged with directing a criminal organization and firearm offenses. Police say he supplied firearms used in three shootings last December. Over the past few months, 10 other people were arrested in the probe, all of them members or close associates of the Nomads, police said.
In court, Clark’s lawyer said his client had resigned his position with the club. After Clark was taken into custody, however, police executed search warrants at two homes. Among the items seized was a stockpile of Nomads patches ready to make sets of colors for new members, suggesting the club is in the mood for expansion.
According to the cops, however, there might be no one left to hand them out.
