If you are doing the road trip to the Florida Keys then an absolute must stop on your way to Key West is the old seven mile bridge which is located in Marathon Florida. it has been completely renovated and is now a beautiful bike and walking path. It has two walking paths both going each way and also two bikes bath. Please do yourself a favor and make sure you bring sunscreen and water as there is no shade and can be very hot especially in the summer. The two mile walk is a pleasant walk and nicely marked with markers every tenth of a mile. There is parking just to the right of the bridge but I hear it can get full on busy days like holidays and the weekends. When you make it to the end you are greeted by pigeon key which is full of rich history of Henry Flagler and the railroads built in the Florida Keys.
