Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, whose name means "Universal Worthy" or "All-Good," is a central figure in Mahayana Buddhism, embodying the pinnacle of compassionate activity and vast vows. His majestic form, often depicted seated on a multi-colored lotus with a golden body adorned with jewels, represents the indestructible, luminous nature of enlightenment itself. He holds a vajra (a diamond scepter) in his right hand, symbolizing the unwavering power of wisdom to cut through ignorance, and a precious vase of nectar in his left, representing boundless compassion that alleviates the suffering of all beings. His five-colored robe signifies the harmonious integration of all Buddha wisdoms and cosmic directions. The supreme oai đức (divine power) of Samantabhadra arises directly from his Ten Great Vows, which guide beings from initial aspiration to full Buddhahood.
