Roter Wedding in Swedish - socialist protest song [Eng subs]

Описание: Demonstration song (Demonstrationssång) is a Swedish International Workers Day song by the communist band Knutna Nävar (Clenched Fists). It's a Swedish version of the German socialist protest song Roter Wedding, famously sung by Ernst Busch.

This workers day march is an excellent example of May Day and Labour Day music from this time - or "Första maj musik" as it would be called in Sweden. It was included on Knutna Nävar's 1973 album Internationalen och andra revolutionära arbetarsånger (The Internationale and other revolutionary workers' songs), which is basically just bangers from start to finish.

Coincidentally, the video material also comes from 1st of May 1973, from a short documentary called Enhet - Solidaritet (Unity - Solidarity), where participants in the Workers' Day march in Stockholm is interviewed about issues they feel are important.

The signs in the video talk about many of the important issues at the time, like work for everyone, women's rights and more power to the unions while some protest the fascist junta in Greece, Sweden joining the EEC or show support for MPLA in Angola and NLF ("Viet Cong") in Vietnam.
