I was given the incredible opportunity to do the makeup for East Carolina University's production of "Don Giovanni", focusing particularly on the makeup for Il Commendatore. He becomes a statue later on in the opera after Giovanni has killed him.
We decided to keep the makeup mainly silver due to his costume being completely grays and silvers, and accented the makeup with white and black. Due to the size of the house, we were able to keep the makeup relatively simple. That being said, the colors had to be more intense than normal due to the actor's hat shadowing his face.
