This week’s tag template (number 14!) is all about layering for depth and inviting interaction. In this simple tutorial, I’ll show you how to make a “Tag x Two”—a larger foundation tag with an overlapping bellyband that holds a second, smaller tag inside. It’s a layered design that’s both practical and playful—perfect for pockets, pages, or tuck spots in your junk journals.
As part of my Tag Template series, this project explores the principle of depth and variety and interaction—creating journal elements that ask to be touched, opened, and discovered. You’ll only need your favorite scraps, a few minutes, and your artistic instinct. Try making one from your stash, and let the tucked-in tag hold a thought, a quote, or a personal note.
